My life story is all about wisdom and courage. God is strong, He keeps your life peaceful and helps people to recover from mental health ill-nesses. No one is going to die. We are all going to be saved by Jesus Christ our Lord. RECOVERY has helped me with a lot of things in life, offering more wisdom, support, advice in my life. I have suffered with As-pergers syndrome since I was a child but have only recently been diagnosed. It made me feel really sad and suicidal. I then decided I need to raise myself up and find ways of feeling better, always taking something positive out of every situation. I just wanted a peaceful and private life. So I am grateful for the support my friends have given me as well as RECOVERY.
I am looking to move out of my care home into my own place and be independent.
I've been in fights through bullying and I have been beaten up with a baseball bat. All because they were unaware of my syndrome. This made me feel suicidal, anxious, and worried. I wanted to throw myself into a river and when I was in Manchester I nearly gave in and threw myself over a cliff but I had an epiphany and thought: No! I need to make my life better and enjoy the things I have.
I have been in care for just over eight years now and being in care makes me feel frustrated, restricted and angry. I am 24 years old with a mind of my own and need my independence, being in care puts a stop to all of that.
My dream for the future is I would love to travel around the world visiting new places and meeting new people. I would also like to get married and have a family of my own.
I'd like to say thank you to RECOVERY for helping me through all of the bad times as well as the good and giv-ing me the support Ive needed to stay positive and move on. I hope Lizzie and the team have a good healthy life and future.
